Media Excel import
If one has media such as images and documents available via a web address (URL), they can easily be imported and connected to products in feed.
This requires having unique product numbers in feed® that can be identified during import. One can also assign desired media roles. This assumes that one has knowledge of or access to master data to view the import code for a media role.
If every media in the Excel has uploaded successfully, and all columns has been imported successfully, you will not see a list below Errors.
If there is a list below Error, you can click on the lines to get more information on the error or warning.
In the example below the media was imported, but could not create a connection to a product in feed since it found no match with the product number "media test".
The line number refers to the row number in the Excel file.
To correct these problems, look at the messages and correct the issues in the Excel file and do another import.
To delete media via Excel import, the ActionType column has action types: DELETE and FORCE_DELETE:
DELETE: This will delete the media if it is not in use.
FORCE_DELETE: This will delete the media even if it is in use. If it is in use, the associations will first be removed, and then the media itself will be deleted.
Read more in the Information and ActionType - Explanation tabs in the template that can be downloaded from feed® under Integrations → Excel → Import → Media.
