Artificial intelligence, AI, or whatever you want to call it is a popular topic at the moment. OpenAI's chatGPT service took the world by storm, and is a powerful tool if used correctly.

In feed®, we have implemented this tool in our own version of AI, "Aide." Aide can be used to suggest product texts, SEO texts, or translations, and it does so as part of being a PIM system. To receive good results from Aide, one must provide good information about the product. The less information you provide about a product, the more "creative" Aide becomes in its responses. It is always important to review the texts suggested by Aide before using them. If Aide's knowledge base does not contain enough information, the responses may contain errors that need to be corrected.

Aide, based on chatGPT, is an advanced text generation model that can generate meaningful and natural sentences based on a given input, but it is important to note that it is not actually intelligent. If you do not provide good and correct input, the responses may be less accurate.

In feed®, you can set up and save templates for the product fields you want to submit to Aide to get the best possible responses when asking it to create texts.

You can also save frequently asked questions for quick use, such as:

  • Write an SEO text within 200 characters

  • Write a witty sales pitch

  • Write a product description

and so on. When Aide has provided you with a text you are satisfied with, you can also ask it to translate it into other languages, or you can paste an existing text and ask Aide to translate it. Here, Aide excels!

Important note:

Aide will collect data from the product header data, attributes and texts determined in the selected template. However, language-dependent text fields will look for values in the language set for your user (and only have a fallback for text values on the default language set in feed).

If you have many text values on a product, it may provide better results for other text fields you request text on, but if the text is in a language different from the one set up for your user (or default language), it will not use those texts.

So, for example, if you have a good sales text you are satisfied with in one language and want it in another language, it is better to copy the text and ask Aide to translate the text into the desired language.
