Packaging

In "Basic data" you can create the packaging types you need. For information on how to do that click here!

You can add a packaging to a product in feed in 3 ways:

  • You can add packaging by integration.
  • You can add packaging by Excel import.
  • You can add packaging manually on the product in feed.

To add packaging manually. Go to the packaging tab on the product, and click on Add Packaging. Then click add.

The packaging will appear on the product and the number shown at the Packaging tab informs you of how many packaging types you have added to the product.

To be able to register packaging units for a product, you must first create a packaging type. This is done from basic Basic Data - Product - Packaging.

Here, you can create the packaging types you want to use by specifying a name and packaging type. If the packaging is to be updated via API, you must also assign it a unique import code.
There are six packaging types to choose from in feed:

The standard names in feed for packaging types are Norwegian terms used retail to describe the orderable units. Specify the name that is common in your region for the different packaging types.

  • F-Pak : Consumer packaging             (sales unit)
  • D-Pak : Distributor packaging           (for example inner boxes, blister, plastic wraps)
  • M-Pak : Intermediate packaging       (for example boxes)
  • T-Pak : Transport packaging              (for example pallets)
  • PSE-Pak : Price unit packaging          (wrapped and barcoded multiple packs)
  • Not defined

When creating a packaging type, there are some pre-defined fields that are always added as standard. These are:

  • GTIN
  • Number of units
  • Delivery lead time
  • Height
  • Length
  • Width
  • Volume
  • Weight
  • Stock status
  • Content unit
  • Unit

In addition, after it is created, one can add custom attributes to the packaging if there is additional information one wishes to maintain.
